2016 Presbytery Dates

The 2016 dates for the various CREC presbyteries have been set. In alphabetical order by presbytery, these dates are:

  • Anselm: October 11–13
  • Athanasius: November 8–9
  • Augustine: October 6–7
  • Calvin: October 4–6
  • Knox: September 20–22
  • Tyndale: September 26–27
  • Wycliffe: October 21

Transitions for Christ Church Spokane, Joost Nixon

Christ Church in Spokane, WA, recently celebrated the installation of Kenton Spratt as its lead pastor. Pastor Spratt is a graduate of Regent College, where he studied under J. I. Packer. Previously, he has pastored other churches in Canada and Washington. He and his wife Sheryl have two grown children.

After 15 years of pastoring and church planting in the Northwest, Christ Church Spokane’s former lead pastor, Joost Nixon, is returning to his roots in missions. He joins Training Leaders International, where he is responsible for overseeing the planting and staffing of pastoral training schools in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

CREC Council 2017

The triennial CREC (general) Council will meet November 13–15, 2017. Further information to follow.

CREC Web Site Relaunch

After some eight years of service, the old version of crechurches.org has been retired!

The new site features a redesign appropriate for the new CREC logo adopted in the fall of 2015, fully responsive design for better mobile viewing, and an all-new database and search engine to make it easier to find churches by country, state/province, city, or presbytery.

Other new features will be added soon.

Summer Sanctus Northwest 2016

Summer Sanctus Northwest 2016 runs July 6–9 at Riverview Bible Camp in Washington. Speakers include Gene Helsel, Gordon Wilson, Toby Sumpter, and Terry Tollefson.

Summer Sanctus 2016 (Texas)

The Summer Sanctus Christian Student Camp returns for 2016, running from June 20–23. The event is held at Disciples Crossing Camp in Athens, Texas. This year’s speaker is Uri Brito, Senior Pastor of Providence Church in Pensacola, Florida and editor of The Church-Friendly Family.
